Math Is Cool/Math Counts Volunteer Coach Needed!

The Math is Cool/Math Counts Volunteer Coach will lead 7-8 graders in preparing for Math is Cool and Math Counts competitions, run practices for kids and help them practice. All preparation materials are available online (Academics Are Cool and Math Counts).  The coach will also accompany students to the Math is Cool Competition in Spokane (sometime in November).  Math Counts competitions starts in 91Ô­´´, with the opportunity for teams to advance to the state and national competitions. The Math Counts competition will be in February.  Coach(es) need to be a positive positive role model, have a passion for math and for working with kids, be willing to learn the process of the math competitions and challenge kids to be their best selves!  Position can be shared.  Additional parent volunteers/chaperones can be recruited.
