Ramon Rivera, Mariachi Director, is the WSECU (credit union) Teacher of the Week. He was nominated by sophomore Yessenia Barrera. Ramon will receive suite tickets to a Mariners game at Safeco Field, where he will be recognized and presented with a $500 classroom Donation. Ramon will also be highlighted on-air during selected Mariners radio broadcasts for a week. Yessenia’s nomination letter read, in part, “Not only is he a great teacher but a great human being  . . . Since 2009 the [Mariachi] program has had a 100% graduation rate . . . You’ll never meet another teacher like Mr.Rivera who continues to impact our students, and community . . .”
