The 91Ô´´ School District is providing public notice of its intent to apply for 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant funding to support after-school programming at Mission View Elementary School and Orchard and Pioneer Middle Schools. If awarded, this funding would support program costs for an additional five years, beginning with the 2025–26 school year.
Since 1998, 21st CCLCs have supported high-poverty schools in 91Ô´´ by providing academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours. The program works in partnership with schools to improve student achievement in core subjects such as reading and math, while also offering hands-on enrichment activities both in and outside the school setting.
For more information about the 21st CCLC program, visit the U.S. Department of Education or the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction websites.
A copy of the completed grant application will be available for public review upon submission. To request a copy or for more information, please contact Maura Danforth, Director of After School Programs, at danforth.m@wenatcheeschools.org. Once awards are announced, the district will notify school staff and the public of the results.
